Pride of Billingham Awards 2010/2011

The winners of the Pride of BillinghamAwards were recognised at the Annual Town meeting in May 2011.  Awards presented by Cllr Sue Skilbeck.

The Good Neighbour Award, for somebody who is a good neighbour and always willing to help out in a crisis, was presented to John Garside who has put a tremendous effort into running the Central Billingham Residents Association.


The Young Achiever Award,
for a group of youngsters under the age of 21 who have shown determination and drive to exceed, was awarded to the Billingham Silhouettes Jazz Band. 


The winners of the Personal or Community Achievement Award for someone who enhances the lives and wellbeing of residents within Billingham, were Ann & Dave Charnley who have worked as foster carers for Stockton Borough Council for many years, taking care of over 50 babies, an amazing contribution to the community.


The Resident of the Year Award,
for a special person in the community who has made a significant contribution to the development and wellbeing of our town, was awarded to John Furmidge who works with residents at Chapel Court.
