Cllr Helen Atkinson

My name is Helen Atkinson (formerly Bambrough, nee Reveley). I have lived in Billingham all my life. I was born in Teesdale Avenue. I attended Billingham South Infants and Junior School before attending the newly opened Bede Hall Grammar School, on the then new Billingham Campus site.
After school I attended the Billingham Technical College, (now College Gardens) training to be a typist. I then went to work for ICI.  As the company sold its assets my long service was transferred to Enron and now Sembcorp (based in Singapore).  August 2008 will give me 40 years service, something that the younger generations will find hard to challenge in this ever-changing world.
When it was agreed that Billingham could have a Town Council, I thought “Yes, here I can make a difference.” I was duly elected by the Billingham West Ward Residents in May 2008. I will endeavour to give my best to you as one of your Town Councillors.
